World Heart Day 2018: Make your promise
WORLD HEART DAY: Make Your Promise
WORLD HEART DAY 2018
Today is World Heart Day (WHD). It is hosted by the World Heart Federation (WHF) in Switzerland, which aims to spread awareness about cardiovascular diseases. According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), 30% of the deaths annually are caused by cardiovascular diseases.
The main aim of the World Heart Day is to enhance heart health by encouraging people to make healthier lifestyle changes. It motivates people to go through heart check-ups, and follow other control measures.
Today is the perfect day for people to make promises to themselves – to quit smoking, get involved in daily physical activities, start maintaining a healthy diet, take stairs instead of elevators, and so on. So what’s your promise today?!
